2391-52 Practice Exam
Plus paper60 questions · 120 minutes · open book · C&G 2391-52 format
Practise 2391-52 inspection and testing with 60 original questions in 120 minutes. Open book, with a 75% practice threshold and a separate held-out pool.
This practice paper sits alongside the 2391-52 readiness unit in electrical Section 4, Testing & Inspection. It uses 60 original single-answer questions with four options each. None of these questions appears in an ordinary lesson or in our 18th Edition papers.
The 120-minute, open-book format follows the knowledge-test format described in City & Guilds’ April 2026 qualification handbook. Our fixed 75% threshold is a revision target; the official threshold is approximately 75% and may be adjusted. Confirm the current permitted reference materials and arrangements with your centre.
Our paper gives equal space to five revision domains. That is our practice mix, not the official assessment weighting. Use your result to identify weaknesses in planning, safety, inspection, testing and reporting.
The actual qualification also requires a practical assignment and is intended for appropriately experienced electricians with relevant prior qualifications. Passing this mock does not award a qualification, establish competence or authorise electrical work.
- Inspection planning and evidence
- Safe working and instrument selection
- Interpreting readings and reporting findings

Before the timer starts
Confirm the exam version and permitted reference materials with your centre. Use the current BS 7671 edition for current revision, practise its contents and index, and learn how to check the scope of a requirement before choosing an answer.
After a practice paper
Use the result to choose topics for revision. Separate slow navigation from a misunderstood concept, then return to those areas before another sitting. A practice threshold is a learning tool; passing here does not guarantee the official result.
