MCB

Miniature Circuit Breaker

An automatic switch that opens a circuit on : a thermal element responds to sustained overload while a magnetic element trips instantly on short-circuit current. MCBs replaced rewirable fuses in modern boards and are chosen by current rating and trip curve (commonly type B for domestic circuits, C and D where inrush is higher).
