Porcelain

A dense, hard tile fired so it soaks up almost no water.

Porcelain is tough and good for floors and wet areas, but adhesive can't soak into its back. Makers usually call for an improved (class 2) adhesive to hold it.

It's harder to cut than ceramic and often heavier, so check the weight against the background's limit.
